stoked

Been a mad week! Scored Fistral 4-5ft Friday and Saturday (swear it was 6ft at the northern end!), offshore and sunny. Dropped on Sunday, but still sunny and clean. Haven't been in any size and power for ages, didn't catch enough waves but loved it! Al came and stood up on her first lesson, she's a convert.

Home to find an email asking me for interview for the Carve job, nervous and excited! Keep fingers crossed for me on Weds - this is my dream job.

superlative

What a week last week was. Good friends, good waves, didn't want to leave.

The little dots are people, shows the size. Not huge, but very, very enjoyable.

Little sis has passed her vet exams with a merit, no less! She's ecstatic and we can all breathe again.

secret

The surf book project is sounding really good! Now I'm worried though, as the story is fictional but reality-inspired. Of course names and distinguishing features have been changed to protect the innocent, but could it piss anyone off? I might have to take some advice on that. Theoretical at the moment anyway, as the book has yet to be published. (I've still never seen the poetry one, after all.)

Stereophonics are number one! I like the song very much, tho there'll never be anything like Local Boy or Thousand Trees again for me... but da iawn bois.

£22 for a flight to Porto, 18th April, BRING IT ON!!!

Possible swell this week, though classic it won't be. I'm going to be there anyway. My mother says she's never seen me so miserable.

sick

I'll bet the rest of the lineup at Pipe just loved Jamie and mates dropping in on a rubber raft...

steriogram

Went to see Steriogram on Monday in Manchester. Great gig, drank too much though! The supporting acts were Shortcut to Newark and The Naked Ape, both of whom were really really good, NA in particular were very funny. So that was a bonus.

Have had a surfing story accepted for part of a book a guy called Chris is doing, so I hope that comes off. Sounds like it could be an exciting project.

The flat spell continues - next week showed promise but the charts have changed again. Roll on Portugal, the UK sucks. Dreamt I was surfing with Melanie Bartels in a rainstorm last night.
