Have got the vw surf wagon I wanted, needs MOT though plus all the inside building. That and lack of petrol money (having just spent 2 grand I don't have) mean I have missed the gorgeous swell that's pushing through everywhere, God the Lleyn looks good and I'm fucking missing it.

At least this is the last time I miss a good swell. I can't wait for Cornwall.

I am the new sub-editor/editorial assistant of Carve magazine!

So stoked. I am going to be working my arse off! The opportunities will be wonderful, and I'm going to get to surf loads more. I'll miss Wales, but will get a fast van and go up when I can. Finally, a job that encompasses everything I love most in the world.

birthday fun

Had a great birthday with Em and P. A long walk, a Tesco treat-fest and plenty of beer in the Pentre. A friend said I was kissing his girlfriend which I cannot remember (I'm straight in case anyone wonders), but apart from that behaved quite well, all vodkas considered!

interview

Second trip to Cornwall in as many weeks, thank God for my little car. Surf not as good this time (actually I've never seen Fistral as good as Easter).

Interview with Carve mag went well, I think, I hope. Anyone reading this, please send the vibes their way to hire me! They'd not regret it. I so want to work where being crazy about surfing is a bonus instead of something to hide! They all seemed cool but pretty stressed. Chris Power, the ed, actually does most of the subbing himself, which is nuts! He neeeeeeds me! Cross your fingers, everyone.
