Question Swap
On Friday, February 24, 2006 you asked the following question;

if a burglar breaks into your house and you accidentally set fire to him, what emergency service do you ask for?

The following answer has just been sent to you;

Should one contact any emergency services in this instance. No, I don't mean let the basterd burn. The intruder has infact done you a service- you are obviously in bed and have left something burning, you silly thing. The intruder (for until they stop burning and steal something then run away, they're not a burglar)has done you a service. Without their intruding the fire may well spread and have killed you and everyone in your house/flat/apartment block. YOU KNOW IT!!!

I'm very hungover and wasting time ;-)

levy love

I think Porthleven is my favourite place so far in Cornwall. Shame I can't surf the wave!
Saturday 18th, a six-foot empty peak. Wasn't empty for long, Mickey Smith and co charged it, never ever have I seen such nutters…one standup joined them and got some pits as well. The spongers were taking off behind the peak and getting so so deep. Most of the waves shut down on them (huge beatings, one guy floating in the channel recovering for ages), but the odd one made it, and they were beauties. I have new respect for them.
And what a stunning place, too, reminded me of Wales a bit, always good. Check the SurfGirl mag blog for a pic of the standup getting a wave.

go me

Fistral looked like shite but was actually quite a lot of fun, again I didn't want to get out. Had a couple of closeout takeoffs, one really really steep drop which hurled me up then drilled me, and one decent left. Was with the boys from the office and hardly anyone else out (at North! You can tell it's winter!). Wasn't all that cold but it was only 2ft and kind of crumbly. Hope it lasts!!

Also got my first freelance writing project, going to be huge fun, writing some web copy for a tourism site

The boys have spent a while playing with a new toy sent to us, a cross between a jetskit and a foamy board. Not like we've got a deadline or anything!

cariad

MMMMMMMuch better after a surf. I so didn't even want to go, but it was same as yesterday, fucking PERFECT!!! Yay. Smallish, 2ft but some power, clean and perfect, slight offshore, not too many in further south. Didn't pike out of any except the obvious closeouts so happy with that even though didn't find any peelers. Those sandbanks are pretty harsh, it's BANG closeout unless you're on it well early and/or lucky n careful with the ole wave selection. Got one screamer, great takeoff in front of some guy with his gob open but the sod closed out, grr. Felt warmed up after an hour then had to get out!!! Frk. Was super good to feel confident out there even though I did still get thrown about a few times. Hood useless, boots a pain, closed South path a pain but no care.

One more Valentines Day offer/reminder/feature I'll fucking scream. Yes society is geared around happy couples but do us Bridget Jones'es need reminding??
